This project offered many challenges to us at JCA. This Inn is a Historic Renovation to an existing set of connected buildings at the main traffic light in Sergeantsville, NJ. It had been a horrible victim of a fire that consumed nearly the entire structure (see the ‘BEFORE’ first 5) shots. With the holiday season just months away, there was a serious time crunch foe the renovation to be completed. The town was glad to help us speed up the permits and the construction staged approvals! The beauty of the combination of original stonework was important to the character of this place. However, we thought it could have a more open and bright interior layout.
The results include a bright and airy main bar area, several dining rooms, a wine tasting area, an updated kitchen and dumbwaiter that serves all levels. The stone clearly survived this horrific fire event today!
